Established in 1910, the Duke of Yorks has been operating as an arts cinema since 1981.   It has a Kids club on saturdays, starting at 10.30am, and also hosts children's parties.  The Big Scream on Wednesdays at 11am is a screening for parents with babies under one year.

Windsurfing and sailing courses for kids (from age 6) with additional activity weeks during the Summer holidays (from age 8).  Taught by qualified instructors.

In a Spin bring Segways and Zorbing to Brighton Beach, near the old West Pier.  Ride in a giant ORB with friends or zoom futuristic style around the Segways course.

The King Alfred is situated in Kingsway, Hove.  It can be reached by car or bus (nos 1, 6, 20, 49 all stop nearby; Stagecoach 700, 702).  There is a car park next to the leisure centre as well as on-street parking, for which a ticket must be purchased.

There are two swimming pools, one of which is reserved for teaching and children's parties.  There is a very family friendly beach-style approach at one end of the pool which also has a slide.

There are two sports halls in which you can do 5-a-side football, badminton, table tennis, volleyball and basketball.  There is an outdoor court suitable for tennis.

Football courses are offered for children aged 5 – 11 years, and trampolining for those aged 5-12 years.  There are mini mayhem soft play sessions for the under 5s on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1.30-2.30pm.

Situated next to Knockhatch Adventure Park the Ski and Snowboard Centre has a 110 dry ski slope and nursery slopes.  Lessons are available. 

This popular venue hosts many kids events and has been voted “Best Family Friendly Theatre in the South”. There are comedy shows, plays and music shows and look out for Baby Loves Disco, an event for children from age 6 months.

Lewes Leisure Centre has two swimming pools, one of which is a small family pool and is warmer than the other.  The centre offers special family fun sessions with large floats, on Saturdays and Sundays between 3 and 5pm.  The pool offers free swimming sessions for children during the school holidays (East Sussex County Council holidays), on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12 noon.

The leisure centre also has a soft play area and provides the following activities for children:  football, gymnastics, badminton, short tennis, street dance, trampolining and supervised climbing.

Thursdays from 10-11.30 drop-in parent and toddler group.

Beach sports on Brighton's only sandy beach!  Barefoot Cafe/Bar with inside and outside areas, a sandy play area for kids, highchairs and baby changing facilities.

This is a leisure centre offering many activities.  Softplay for the under 8s, different activity sessions for the under 5s, plus a session for Dads and the under 7s.  Holiday programme for kids aged 5 – 12.   The swimming pool complex offers indoor pools, outdoor pool, flumes, watersprays, waterfalls and rapids.

Activity classes for children include trampolining, indoor football, Sama karate, gymnastics, badminton, snooker, fencing, Tae Jitsu and basketball. 

An excellent 18 hole pitch and putt which takes approximately one and a half hours to complete.  There is a car park nearby and a tea room which is open in the summer.

Provide a range of activities for kids from toddlers to teens.  Roller hockey, football, badminton and trampolining for 5 -16 year olds.  Dance classes for 6 – 16 years and several different toddler sessions.

Trampolining classes on a Saturday plus there is a climbing wall which is run by Adventure Unlimited, 01273 681058.

A full range of watersports are offered from wake boarding to water skiing.  Take a charter boat or hire a kayak.   Some of the watersports are only suitable for older children and it is preferable that they can swim.
